E.T. – Pity Party [Prod. NIKK BLVKK]

The headbanging extraterrestrial is no stranger to phonetic bits of gold that cling to listeners psyche. With a discography that have left all listeners on their toes, 2017 was a year of tracks that continued to surprise listeners. No two songs sounding alike, E.T. released songs such as “SINS”, “SAUCE (w/ Thy Kyng)”, “Pull My Card”, and “Finally (w/ 2MyGrave)”, proving quality always beats quantity.

One standout track, however, is the anti-love song “Pity Party,” produced by NIKK BLVKK. This track on heartbreak and recovery juxtaposes others in E.T.’s catalogue both in lyrics and beat type. E.T. maintains his aura of dark mystery while telling his story of a scorned man. He simultaneously releases emotional vulnerability, giving people a surface look of his pain that forces listeners to wonder what lies within.  This re-imagination of the breakup song has the perfect blend of heartache and finesse, to remind one that no one has you like yourself.
