Well known for suspenseful, hard hitting tracks such as “Madonna ft. Kamiyada” and “Puke” Bambi takes a powerful turn as he expresses his more vulnerable side on his track “Lies Say Im Fine.” Featuring collaborative production by josh menchaca and gosuto, “Lies Say Im Fine” blends spectral melodies and metallic high hats with Bambi’s painfully emotional voice. The Texas based artist once again beautifully embraces darkness as he describes the downfall of a relationship destroyed by drug use.
“You just want the diamond ring, the drugs made you feel like a queen”
Just recently, Bambi debuted visuals for the emotive track on Astari. Shot by Steven Jets, we follow Bambi as he somberly wanders empty streets and vacant parking lots. Jets also employs creative transitions and film burns that enhances the video as Bambi ghost rides on top of a car. The artist and videographer have been working closely together, and we can expect to see more visuals from the pair soon.
Bambi, alongside the members of his international collective Midnight Society, have been some of the most invigorating artists in the scene right now, bringing a unique form of production and lyrical content to the table. “Lies Say Im Fine” is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs we have heard in a long time, and 2018 looks exceptionally promising for Bambi and the rest of Midnight Society.
