Here at Underground Underdogs, our mission is to provide underappreciated up and coming artists recognition as we learn more about them, and Rudy White has piqued that interest. A singer/songwriter from Minnesota with only 208 followers on his SoundCloud profile, Rudy White puts out surprisingly well thought out and professional sounding tracks. “Goddamn,” produced by Australian producer Heart Taps (formerly known as Turntuptears), is a track that instantly catches the ear and stands out within the realm of the emotional guitar-based tracks that are becoming increasingly popular by the day. The somber production that Heart Taps brought to the track is beautifully met with Rudy’s raspy yet soothing voice, which conveys the viewpoint of someone who has been damaged and broken by their love, and would do anything to get them back in their arms. Rudy’s vocals were mixed by the producer Dysphora, who he has frequently collaborated with in the past. Rudy hasn’t dropped anything new in over 9 months, but we hope he releases some new tracks soon and can only imagine what’s been working on since. Take a listen to “Goddam” by Rudy White.
