Fits of the Week (Feb. 24-Mar. 2, 2018)

Outdressing your peers is a large component of any music scene. In our “Fits of the Week” segment, we pick our five favorite outfits of the week and compile them all into one list.

1) Isabella Amarga – @sourapplecider

Boston-based musician Isabella Amarga is the princess of super cute, glowy-glam goth looks, but something about the casual layering of this outfit is extra great. The red and white mesh textures overlap and play well with the black oversized snap-up sport pants. The scale of the checkerboard pattern hyper-cropped hoodie coordinates perfectly with the scale of the mesh bodysuit, creating a bold look with subtle textural detailing.

2) Charlie Shuffler – @charlieshuffler (photo by @taytux)

Pale pink Vans slips-ons, relaxed fit chinos, and a teeny beanie coordinate perfectly with the ballet shoes screenprinted on the shirt for an effortless, lighthearted outfit. This look from Cali-based producer, Charlie Shuffler, mixes a classic mens skate look with a softer, more feminine twist.

3) Killavesi – @killavesi

This two piece set is everything; it feels like sportswear but has a fun, flirty cut and makes use of upscale piecing and dye techniques. Chicago-based musician, Killavesi, wore this look to announce that she is still unsigned earlier this week. The oversaturated denim blue colors bring out the pink of her hair and lips, for an all-encompassing daytime to nighttime look.

4) Ashton Traitor – @ashtontraitor

Ashton Traitor must have a huge closet, because he seems to constantly be flexing the wildest, most original outfits. The LA-based musician was spotted in this amazing mime-inspired look, complete with pure white gloves dangling off his shorts, which are worn over white leggings; as per traditional health-goth styling.

5) Smokesac – @smokesaac

Double jailbreak style, LA-based producer Smokesac was spotted in this clashing striped black and white, Nightmare Before Christmas type mall-goth look earlier this week. The heavy contrast pattern mixing with hellish prison uniform vibes give this outfit an absolutely careless, yet totally cool feel. His red accessories match the red hand tattoos, tying the entire look together.
