Lil Shine is a Minneapolis-based 12 year old artist making some incredibly catchy autotune plugg songs. I first found Shine when he dropped what seems to be his first song on SoundCloud, “Drop The Top” with PrettyBoiClique member, Lil Paycheck. Shine’s music isn’t what you expect out of a 12 year old, he talks a lot more about money, women and cars than you’d think he’d know about over catchy and almost cute plugg beats.
“Rubys” however, is different than that too. The song is on a dancehall beat and features PrettyBoiClique member ᵂʰʸᶠʸᵉ and autotune underdog Baby Blunt. They come together for a song truly like no other in the underground scene. The song is catchy, poppy, cute and feels like chewing bubblegum. The synths glitter, the vocals almost feel effortless and the verse by ᵂʰʸᶠʸᵉ goes in hard.
Bitch don’t get me wrong ’cause you gon’ miss me when I’m gone.
ᵂʰʸᶠʸᵉ’s verse is memorable and has a lot of energy, the second verse by Baby Blunt is more sing-songy and sticks more to what Shine does. Shine’s hook is bright and he has a great voice for someone that’s so young. Hopefully, the trio continue to release music together and separately that’s this good. They will definitely be favorites if they keep this going.
