Ravenna Golden is an inspiring, strong, and outgoing female artist that stepped into the music scene a few years back. She was first closely tied to Dylan Brady, as she appeared on his debut album “All I Ever Wanted” back in 2015, alongside well-known acts Kevin Abstract and Nok from the Future (014). Later that same year, she continued to work with Brady as he produced her debut album “Girl Gone Wild” in its entirety. You can absolutely hear his style in all eleven tracks, but at the same time Ravenna’s own sensitive but confident sound shines through.
Not only has King Ravy worked alongside Nok from the Future, she also released a fantastic single produced by him titled “For the Night”. The pair go together perfectly, Ravenna enhances Nok’s distinct production style with her airy vocals and catchy lyrics. After hearing the song, it’s hard not to hope that Nok will continue to allow female artists, especially Ravenna, to work on his beats because the balance is perfect.
In past interviews as well as in her music, Ravenna addressed the juxtaposition of her outgoing nature with the anxiety and paranoia that many experience growing up in a new age of technology. As a millennial woman breaking into the music scene, she does a fantastic job of revealing her insecurities without stepping down confidence in herself or her sound. King Ravy deserves our attention and support as she is sure to be successful if she maintains her style and image in the current underground scene.
