Fits of the Week (March 17-23, 2018)

Outdressing your peers is a large component of any music scene. In our “Fits of the Week” segment, we pick our five favorite outfits of the week and compile them all into one list.

1) Gemm Forza (@gemm_forza)

Musician & fashion icon, Gemm Forza, makes a lot of his clothes and has a huge collection of interesting designer pieces. In this outfit, he pairs a classic Harley Davidson logo tee with a country western horse print fleece jacket. The faux-farm look clashes with his self-made DIY type patch pants for a one of a kind, crust punk cowboy aesthetic. The assorted printed and denim patches mixed with the puff paint cobweb and pink mini-braided pigtails make this look extremely cool and current.

2) Celestia (@celestiiiiv) & Saphir (@saphir1996)

Draped up in all black, musicians, Celestia and Saphir, look like gorgeous dark angels before Underground Underdogs first show in LA. From the layering of Celestia’s fishnets and long sleeve black and white stripe tee to the emerald green of Saphir’s hair, these girls represent what it means to be powerful, badass underground artists in 2018. Not sure if they planned it or not, but their outfits are very complementary to one another. The gothic band tees and silver wallet chains pair well with oversized eyelet belts and all black denim.

3) Kamiyada (@_kamiyada), Knives (@knives56k), & Braxton Knight (@braxtonknight)

Posted up at SXSW for Midnight Fest, musicians Kamiyada, Knives & Braxon Knight look like a tricked out squad representing many of the undergrounds current best fashion trends. From the miniature plushie clipped onto the heavy wallet chain, to the blue Supreme snow goggles and multi-pocketed mini vests, these guys look like a force not to be reckoned with.

4) @pullingteeeth

Instagram style icon, @pullingteeeth constantly serves up choker-heavy, gothic luxury looks. In this look, she pairs lots of wardrobe essentials including black leather boots, a leather trencoat, mini slip dress with a waist cinch, and a heavy O-ringed choker. Her tiny sunglasses and black lipstick are styled with a camoflauge hat, creating a practical urban gothic street look.

5) Tiiiiiiiiiip (@tiiiiiiiiiip)

Minneapolis based DJ, party promoter and thrift store wizard, Tiiiiiiiiiip, often puts together monochrome, femme outfits that would most commonly be found on a lavish grandmother who shops at Bloomingdales, Talbots or Dress Barn. Contrasting his toned, masculine appearance, his soft outfits crate a signature look that has yet to be successfully replicated by anybody. Earlier this week, Tiiiiiiiiiip, was spotted in a royal blue from head to toe look complete with a wide brimmed felt hat, head scarf, floral lace deep v neck blazer, and freshly pressed dress slacks.
