Occasionally, the super producers of the underground will release vocal performances on top of their own engineered creations. Frequent behind-the-scenes producer Dylan Brady has done so, electronically whispering out his new track “the greatest”.
Within the underground, Brady has continuously made waves in the scene with his unique pitch frequencies and refreshing melodies. While Brady’s words are spare and few in between his beautifully crafted production, he robotically ranges in and out of listeners ears with ease. While the beat itself bops around as Brady pierces above, the harsh synth lead is the antithesis of Brady’s work on Jesse Rutherfords &, while being more of a sister song to Brady’s most recent project Dog Show.
The song presents Brady’s vast knowledge within blending music genres as his marvelous attempt showcases. In “the greatest”, Brady ends the song on a high note metaphorically, while also literally. A bright, synth breakdown takes over along with a large kick drum to fade out the song in dubstep esque.
While Dylan Brady remains a figure hidden behind the music industry, his solo work could be argued as his most experimental and thought provoking. Hopefully, he blesses the underground with a new project in the near future.
