Fits of the Week: March 31-April 6, 2018

Outdressing your peers is a large component of any music scene. In our “Fits of the Week” segment, we pick our five favorite outfits of the week and compile them all into one list.

1) Nick Prosper (@nickprosper)

There are so many great aspects of this look by New York-based musician, Nick Prosper, I’m not even sure where to begin writing. The clear fanny pack has been converted to a side bag for a contemporary feel. The white taping of the bag plays off of the @onlyfriend.us shirt that he’s got tucked into the emerald green beanie. The pastel green and neon pink split-tee serves major springtime vibes, but with a darker feel. Paired with the silver and gold chain belt, this high contrast look successfully mixes color, materials and typography for an all-around effortless outfit.

2) Aubrie Perez (@sp00kybabyyy)

LA-based Depop princess, Aubrie, was spotted in this advanced level custom airbrushed two piece set this week. Her white hair matches the ghostly aesthetic of the artwork and the placement of the “spooky” lettering reflect the post-Pyrex state of streetwear. The tall black leather platform boots elevate the relaxed fit of the garments to a luxury type feel.

3) Sowhatimdead (@sowhatimdead)

Black, white and heavy silver; this look from Florida-based artist and musician, Sowhatimdead, is serving some very on-point evil stylez. Complete with black metal rings and a baphomet necklace, his classic black skinny jeans have been customized with silver zippers. Topped off with double belts and strategically draped chains, his accessory game is all sorts of tricked out.

4) Contessa Stuto (@cxntmafia)

Successfully mixing multiple mesh pieces, this rad vintage look from New York legend, Cuntmafia, is both luxurious and highly adorned. The brown floral dress is a vintage 90’s piece straight from her mothers closet. The sequined mesh sleeves originally belonged to a dress, but were cut out and flipped around to create a lavish jacket top. Paired with a limited edition 2001 Louis Vuitton x Stephen Sprouse handbag with a custom gold chain and $10 denim boots from Mandee’s on Myrtle Ave in Ridgewood, NY, Contessa’s look combines a wide range of pieces truly showcasing her abilities as a stylist.

5) Rozz Dyliams (@rozzdyliams)

All black from head to toe, Seattle-based musician, Rozz Dyliams, has the right idea with this two-piece set. Highly comfortable, this outfit is a cool mix of health goth and metal. The screenprinted white logos repeating down the hoodie and pants echo traditional black metal long sleeve shirt designs.
