On The Rise: 458 Keez

The past couple of years Florida has produced several big time rappers that are now the center of attention in the mainstream. Artists like Lil Pump, Smokepurrp, Pouya, Denzel Curry and Kodak Black have all came from the Sunshine State. This new Florida wave has brought a lot of attention to the area and many wonder who will be the next young artist to explode.

458 Keez is one of the names that comes to mind when thinking of rappers on the rise. The Orlando based artist seems to have all the right tools at his disposal and hasn’t disappointed with any of his drops. While we all wait for a mixtape or an album, let’s get into some of his current catalogue.

His most popular song to date is probably “Gothstar”. The song has racked up almost 120 thousand plays on SoundCloud, and fans just recently got the video that they have been anxiously awaiting. The track produced by MUNK X YAYGO is a much slower tempo than most of the other songs that Keez has put out.

Another distinct video from him is “Scrape the Bowl” where he can be seen rapping inside of the reflection of his own gold grillz, creating a unique visual. “I Don’t Wanna Hear It”, which is produced by Cris Dinero, is another popular song by Keez. This song contains what has to be one of the catchiest hooks we’ve heard in a while. The video features cameos from several other Florida artists such as Kid Trunks and Ski Mask the Slump God, who are both hanging out and vibing to the song.

The sound he has created is a nice fusion with Southern trap type beats and bouncy flows. These sauced up, in-your-face tracks make for good party music. The fun energy brought out by Keez can be seen in any music video appearance he makes, whether it’s his own or a feature. His on camera charisma tends to make him the center of attention.

Wifisfuneral is a friend, supporter, and collaborator of 458 Keez. Keez appeared on two songs on Wifi’s last project Boy Who Cried Wolf. Once again his energy highlights his talent on the song “Centerfold” where he says, “They took my soul from me, I had to take it back/ Like, “ding dong”, where’s Satan at?”. His “Weigh !t Out!” feature is another strong guest appearance, delivering more simplistic bars that allow him to ride the beat perfectly and stay in the pocket.

With so much potential and so many connections it’s almost hard to understand why things haven’t exploded for Keez already. 458 Keez is without a doubt a stand out artist with star like qualities. “5,4,3,2,1 I think it’s time to takeoff”, Keez sings on his feature on Danny Towers’ “Kutthroat” song. Get familiar with Keez and hop on the train now. Be ready for his next project – it may just turn him into a household name.
