Outdressing your peers is a large component of any music scene. In our “Fits of the Week” segment, we pick our five favorite outfits of the week and compile them all into one list.
1) Giorgia Bottini (@jorjapins)
Italian stylist and artist, Giorgia Bottini, constantly serves up unforgettable DIY luxury trash fashion, but this neon hazard look is extra fire. The monochrome highlighter yellow garments are broken up with a layered striped long sleeve shirt and a bold racing typographic moment wrapped around her waist. Paired with an otherwise relaxed look, the glossy black trench coat, dark-lensed glasses, and extended silver wallet chain elevate the outfit to a more luxurious level.
2) Yung Cortex (@yungcortex)
LA-based producer Yung Cortex is slowly on his way to becoming a fashion icon, as his recent looks have been highly refined. The subtle tone shifts from black to grey in this outfit are very down-to-earth and effortless. The grey bondage pants pair with the colorblocking on his sleeves and hood. The yellow taping provides a small highlight, drawing attention to the unusual cut and sew of the hoodie for an overall soft gothic look.
3) Elisa Cox (@cchazzzy)
Portland-based Illustrator, Elisa Cox, makes even hiking through the mountains look like a fly experience. All draped up in primary colors, her look is very Kidcore meets goth. Her thrifted USA Gamblers brand red dice socks match the red sleeves of her colorblocked corduroy ultimate generic brand Fashion Classic Fashion Collection jacket while the Donald Duck graphic crewneck puts a playful spin on an otherwise blacked out look.
4) Cash Jenkins (@spanishrickthebeatnick)
Cash Jenkins, Boston-based king of vintage, was spotted this week dressed in this amazing baby pink and denim masterpiece. The pooh bear t-shirt graphic and floral print of his pants create a soft femme aesthetic that is highly successful when contrasted with the traditionally masculine vibes of varsity type jackets and athletic shoes. The denim has a raw hem as per recent styling trends, just barely exposing the ankle. His silver rings and necklaces tie the whole look together.
5) Convolk (@convolk_)
Presenting dadcore at its finest, this look by musician Convolk, is too good to be true. His white, flesh tone and soft pink vintage Kangol half-zip sweatshirt is truly icing on the cake when paired with classic blue relaxed fit denim and white running shoes. His black t-shirt and subtle gold chain hint that he’s not actually a suburban dad, but are chill layering pieces to complete this faux-fatherly look.
