Icy synths pluck and jitter in the periphery. Strings arpeggiate and unfold on themselves, as a haunting melody reminiscent of cold winter air shyly reveals itself and whistles along in the background. Silence. Gun cocks. Enter; Lil Narnia.
From start to finish, “come back” from Lil Narnia’s most recent project Things in Pain is a special song. In addition to showcasing his powerful, distinct vocal abilities, Lil Narnia displays his creativity in recruiting a refreshingly uncommon feature vocalist in Nyanners. For those unfamiliar, Nyanners is most accustomed to anime themed voice acting and covering pop songs. Hearing her dainty, plucky, and upbeat rap verse directly after an incredibly strained, intense chorus in which Lil Narnia seems to be writhing in pain on the floor makes for an outstanding listening experience. Saphir is also featured, providing perfect pacing and variety to keep the track interesting all the way through.
The willingness to source inspiration and collaboration from places outside the typical underground music frame of reference will prove invaluable for the blossoming career of Lil Narnia. There is much more to come, so don’t miss out.
