Convolk reaches our pages again with the release of his song “mama looking down at me” produced by Dee B. Concolk has been working hard in the underground scene releasing other amazing tracks such as “front row”, “all black fit”, and “black heart”. He is no stranger to hits and has dropped yet another one. According to Convolk, the song was written for his deceased mother, who passed away when he was 11.

As compared to the others, the raw emotion can be felt through the song. Although the song itself doesn’t inherently feel emotional, his lyrical ability to flow over the beat and deliver his message menaingfully are quite skilled.
The constant repetition of
“Stars in the sky shine bright i know mama looking down at me
Everybody round me in my life always hated me, they doubted me”
leaves a very deep impression given the context.
Dee B’s production begins with strange reverberated synths and hard hitting, bouncy drums. Although the production is similar to Convolk’s style of music, there are repeated “yeah, yeah, yeah” ad-lib loops through the entire song as if it was part of the beat. He adopts a unique flow quite different from his past music and it gives us a refreshing perspective on his musical potential and promise. Check out Convolk’s “mama looking down at me” above.
