BAMBI – Wonky ft. Kamiyada, Blvc Svnd and Gizmo (Prod. HOUNDS)

The underground community is full of talented artists, bustling to break the mold above the rest. Upcoming vocalist Bambi’s new track “Wonky,” featuring Kamiyada, Blvc Svnd and Gizmo, bring together the best of the best, showcasing what the scene really has to offer.

Right off the bat, the wobbly, downtempo instrumental hits you hard in the chest. Producer Hounds has been floating around the underground scene for a great deal of time, even producing as far back as early Lil Peep and ITSOKTOCRY material. His recent work with artists such as TrippyThaKid and Bambi however have been bringing him more intro the spotlight, exhibiting his talent. The jerky melodies, hard hitting 808s and rolling hats all give off the exact ‘’Wonky’’ feeling that the title displays, setting off an uneasy atmosphere, but sticking you to the ends of your headphones.

As the track builds up, chants of the “FreeTheTop” movement are scattered around, spreading the word. Then in an instant, the beat hits and Kamiyada opens with his solid, agile raps. Shifting through the instrumental with ease, Kami initiates the song with pure vitality. Following up to that is Bambi. Recognizable in an instant with his infamous ‘Skrr’ adlib, he begins his verse effortlessly, intertwining with the beat despite the cut-out drums. When they do drop back in however, Bambi ups the ante, ripping through with endless bars on top of bars.

Next up comes Blvc Svnd with his rapid flow and contagious energy displays his constant fury. Tracks like this prove his versatility, showing off how Svnds vocals punch just as mercilessly as his production. Finally, to wrap things up, lands Gizmos section. Raw aggression strikes before anything really starts. Despite the low pass over the instrumental, Gizmo’s brutal verse kicks you in the teeth, then comes back for round two when the beat drops. The hostility is endless, proving that “Wonky” would be ideal moshpit music for a live performance.

With the collaborative project “Dogdeer” releasing next Tuesday, recent singles such as ‘Wonky’ and ‘Top‘ have been building up the hype immaculately. Check out “Wonky” above.
