Meet DeathByRomy, Los Angeles’ Vampiric Songstress

Native to L.A., deathbyromy is not new to the poser scene that is drowning the city of angels. Romy gained her fan base through the almost gospel voice she possesses and her dark twisted fantasy rap lyrics… a sweet spot for her music.

Following Romy’s career so far her passion for music is directly correlated to her success. Since day one she made it clear she was here to sing and cry with us.

As she affirms “I’m the light in the dark and I will shine.”

She is here to guide the way through highs and lows, she reaches out to her fans and not only thanks them for their support but shows support in return. Its no surprise her fan base is rock solid.

Although her vocal range is nothing short of experimental and broad, her creative vision is controlled and decisive as she constantly searches for very sound specific producers. As flashes of Patti Smith’s charisma and strength come through in her performances, we witness a poetic musician. A combination rare to find and nearly lost in todays auto-tuned and catchy music scene.

Her powerful lyrics speaking about personal experiences and her engagement with her fans show how comfort she is with being vulnerable and open in order to help those that are going through similar emotions.

“We are our own demons”

Romy reminds us that there’s beauty in darkness and romance in pain.

With songs like “Broken Star” where melodies romance your ears and the high contrast of “Nightmares” with heavy bass and deep vocals, her range of emotional interpretation is not only key to her appeal but a clear representation for genuine and unique music creations.

This underground star on the rise is an act to follow, with an album coming out soon this year and recently signing with Digital Trapstars at Capitol Records, this is certainly the start of a big leap in her career and a much-needed fresh perspective for a generation.
