DeathByRomy recently previewed she was filming a music video, and it turns out it’s for her most recent song “DeathWish.” Directed by the incredibly talented Gab3, this visual trip is for all those romantic vampires out there. Dare we say this will make you fall in love with Romy’s music if you haven’t already.
The music video is a very personal tour of Romy’s inner struggles with love and trust. The beginning scene shows her very own bedroom, exposing her personal space for this song as a reminder of how much of an open book she is. The storyline follows a boy who represents the love interest and the relationship Romy has with him. As the song reaches its peak shots of a sunny cemetery, a deadly picnic follows as the boy is “poisoned” by what one can assume is the courage and strength she finds in herself. Romy sings her closing line “keep your name out of your mouth or think about me until you drown.”
