Hear shinigami’s Self Produced Track “heaven” Featuring Velvetears

Already having come off a monumental spring tour at the beginning of the year, shinigami is continuing to further the belief that he will become a shining star in the music industry. After his wildly successful mixtape drop, shinigami has continued to demonstrate his wide range of skills and strengths within his newly released melodic tunes. “Heaven”, produced by shinigami himself, highlights a strong flex of variety from the lullaby singer songwriter as well as a surprise (and wonderful) feature from the sweetly crooning VELVETEARS.

The song begins with an almost outlandishly bright and bouncy melodic replication, something shinigami has easily mastered throughout his career. Seamlessly looping this dream inducing rhythm across, the song soon meets an incoming of hard hitting 808s and snares.

Interpolating Bryan Adams’ song of the same name, shinigami begins the song with a strong setting narrative:

Baby youre all that I want // When you’re lying here in my arms // I’m finding it hard to believe // We’re in heaven

The single verse includes a trade of lines between shinigami and VELVETEARS, while the former silently begs for his love to stay, the latter does the same even as she vanishes.

Holding my breath while you walked out the back door // Negative energy starts to attract more // Looking back at you as I walk away// And my breath starts to stop as our energy fades

The song then transitions back into the chorus, with Velv contributing backing vocals over shinigamis soothing tenor.

Shinigami is somebody who has quickly turned into one of the gleaming strengths of the underground, along with the ever so persevering VELVETEARS. Both continue to demonstrate that top charts and millions of followers do not contribute to hard work and pure talent.

And as the underground eagerly awaits new projects from the two, both are hard at work. While shinigami is quickly churning out singles and will be working on his follow up to i will never be a memory, VELVETEARS is quietly working upon a new EP and collaborative project with enigmatic 93FEETOFSMOKE.
