Doubt Yourself with Hammy and PillXXX’s “Hard to Focus”

Hammy has been working hard to make a name for himself, providing his audience with a continuous stream of content over the last few months. In the past the young artist has worked hand in hand with close associates such as guccihighwaters, convolk, and cøzybøy. Now, he adds PillXXX to that list in a collaborative effort to release their latest track “Hard to Focus.”

The moody tune brings together self-doubting lyricism and kidkeva’s euphonious production, resulting in a song that is all too stark. From the get go, Hammy is open about the negative thoughts that go through his mind, expressing that “sometimes it’s hard to focus, I don’t feel no motives, I just feel so hopeless, I know that they notice.” Yet despite the seemingly melancholic tone of the song, Hammy is aware that he is not alone and even mentions the lack of sobriety that he and his friends share when they are together. He continues the somber melody by taking time to reminisce on old friends and the reasons he had for leaving them “on the outside.”

Following Hammy is PillXXX, who comes in with an undeniable energy. As he moves swiftly through his verse, he lightly touches upon the topic of self-medication as well as the “demons” that he’s fighting. However, just because there is a battle does not necessarily mean he intends to win; “At the same time they not that bad they give me guidance, maybe I should give in and ask for an alliance.” PillXXX then concludes his verse with the same passion that he started with, and the chorus is repeated once more to bring the song to an end.

Although we are unaware what is next for this creative, young artist, we can be sure that this is not the last you will hear about him. For now, check out his latest release down below.
