Coldhart has relentlessly taken over the underground scene in recent years and has positioned himself to be a breakout star with singles such as “Dreamer.” Produced by the ever so elusive yet talented Yusei, “Dreamer” is a mellow guitar plucked track circling around the thoughts of love and infatuation.
Coldhart begins the track, alluring his lover to take a ride with his now renowned melodic flow. He expresses his willingness to do anything for his girl, going so far as to say that he would send letters when left without a cellular device.
We could go fast in that rose red Audi // She so wet, outside not cloudy // If I was broke, I would hop on the metro // And I would send you letters if I didn’t have a phone
The production throughout “Dreamer” is intuitively chill and smooth, coupling together a quaint guitar with hard hitting drum samples. While the simplicity of the beat is open enough for each artist to prominently glow, it stands on its own legs due to a gleaming execution.
Rawska brings the tempo up a notch as he is handed the first verse, depicting his love interest as somebody who enjoys their moments together with a good time of full cups and cocaine. Rwaska is more than impressive with his effortless head-bop-inducing rhyme scheme, and fits in perfectly on “Dreamer”. Similarly, the crooning Zubin shines on the track as well. Zubin takes the reigns at verse number two where he thoughtfully delivers his thoughts about how his newfound better half has mended together his withered heart.
Together, the trio of artists excellently nail the tender vibe of the track superbly and each has their own unique approach to accomplish the overall goal of creating a magnificent heart centered piece of art. With a newly reestablished SoundCloud, Coldhart is sure to be dropping more masterful tracks in the near future.
