Watch alvin abyss Sell Souls in his “Five Point Pimpin’ 2” Music Video

Five Finger Posse‘s alvin abyss recently dropped visuals for his track “Five Point Pimpin’ 2.” Produced by Charlesglobe, the three minute track carefully crafts a unique experience with a bold aesthetic. The atmospheric, ethereal beat provides the an interesting juxtaposition for abyss’ hard hitting, borderline humorous bars, such as when he raps “My old bitch still not over me. New bitch came from overseas, damn I feel like Master P.” Even the hook takes abyss’ insanity to new levels with lines like “On the block selling souls, till my neck dripping gold”.

Visually, abyss and Jeremy S. Renner combined create a video that feels like an 80’s advertisement. “I had the idea to kinda give it an infomercial concept,” abyss explains. The standout 1-800-SELL-SOULS text, fades between shots, and quick cuts to static TV clips, both Renner and abyss achieve great success with what they initially set out to produce.

Simply put, watching the video for “Five Point Pimpin’ 2″ leaves the viewer with a strong impression. Yet, abyss acknowledges the relaxed simplicity of the track and video too, as he told Underground Underdogs “It’s no deep meaning behind the song. I really just wanted to make a part two to a song I did before [laughs]. I felt like it needed a video because it goes hard and I could envision it having one.” Abyss finished his conversation with UU about his latest video by reminding listeners to check out his newest project HELLBOUND, and to be on the lookout for his yet-to-drop EP NO TEARS 4 THE DAMNED.
