UU Fits of The Week: Oct 22-28, 2018

In the underground, we appreciate those who display a strong sense of style. In the “UU Fits of the Week” segment, we pick our favorite outfits of the week and compile them into one list.

deathbyromy

Evoking a chill essence of dominance, Romy sits on her stoop being very cozy and fierce as she sports her classic Laker’s jersey, a signature look which has not been popularized yet this season, that pops out from her all-black fit. Rocking boots that could break necks with chunks of metal on the tongue, heel, and toe Romy is not afraid to stand out from the darkness she pays homage to with the sharp dark tone of this fit. She tops it off with thin, long chains attached to her pants, basketball on lap, and a very natural look that zones in one signature eye makeup.

Kam

Kam stunningly chops up and evolves signature pieces of a classically chilling black fit: from the custom tactical hearts zip-up hoodie with draping knitted pockets, to the strikingly reconstructed black jeans collapsing off his bright white Nikes to the floor. Already knowing he’s caught your eye, Kam adds the classic long pocket chain alongside with multiple shiny yet light chains. Kam covers his face with a tactical bandanna and lets his fit do the talking in this cold addition to fits of the week.

Finamoe

A true artist is not worried about getting a little dirty, Finamoe embraces the mess of an artist by rocking some beautifully paint-splattered pants. Attached to his pants is a very bulky and flashy key hook that connects to the essential functionality and incorporation of complex style artists tend to have with their pieces. Simple neutral colored tops evoke this slight attitude and coziness that go hand in hand with his beanie and sunglasses. Finamoe is working hard and comfortably in the studio and could care less about you noticing his Yeezy’s… or even getting them dirty.

Maung

Caught in the city streets of Chicago by Jackson, Maung appears to be in an everyday casual outfit from top to bottom rocking a baggy sports jumpsuit and chunky athletic shoes. However when you look up you reach the beautiful accessories that display the truly unique character Maung evokes, as he sports a beautiful variety of pearls that layer effortlessly over one another. Also, eyes widen and jaws drop when you see his centerpiece of the fit; rare Wolverine Kristopher Kites chain. Finally, with another unique accessory, Maung carries around a small rice bag that has been transformed into a tote for everyday tools.

Derrick Beasley

Displaying a complex yet eased display of a cool color palette with various textiles throughout his outfit, Derrick Beasley does not care if you think he is subjective as he shares these jeans created by Sean Clay. The custom jeans drip down to the cream skate shoes also made by Clay making use of leftover scraps strapping over the front of the shoes. The fit is effortlessly topped off with a clean Northwestern college tee under a vintage multi-patterned quilted jacket that he cloaks over himself in collaboration of the pieces in his fit.
