In the underground, we appreciate those who display a strong sense of style. In the “UU Fits of the Week” segment, we pick our favorite outfits of the week and compile them into one list.
Kicking off FOTW, Blu is caught in the streets by Valentina Pavo matching his own white designed pieces from WNTD Apparel. The white graphic hoodie contains a chain replacing the drawstring of the hoodie which corresponds to the loud “Very Spooky” theme. He then wears very eye-catching work pants that contain painted illustrations such as melting rainbows, model figure, and a recklessly written “Art is War” on the right pant leg. He also carries around his black WNTD bag as he barely cloaks his black jacket only on his right arm so he can flaunt the clean rebellion of the pieces he has created.
Posting up on a park bench in Harlem and shot by fjifilm, Ade displays this boss type character as he rocks an all black fit with rare details that compliment the overall mood of this fit pic. From the Vlone “Alone” black fitted braves hat fitting Ade like a crown to the Vlone strapped and patterned pants, you get this true dark essence from the character of these pieces. He then wears a large black zip-up hoodie that completes the black palette of the fit and blinds your eyes with his fresh Air Forces. Although the fit may seem simple to some, it is not only rare but worn and displayed in a subtle yet powerful manner not many could pull off.
Popping out from a checkered world, Jem displays a raw and unruly character in this captured fit pic. Modeling a toxic tee and split checkered track pants from Liam Hodges the patterns are varied throughout the fit yet still combine together in a unique way that complements the overall mood along with the overall color scheme of neutral colors. Her striped long sleeve matches the checkered palette of the track pants and the grid socks she wears pop out from her rugged classic Converse. She tops off the fit with daring makeup and a small silver chain as she worships a rare Blossom pendant from Kristopher Kites.
Mature and authoritative, Manny is displaying a style that is one of a kind and effortless that many wouldn’t look as comfortable in as he does. This outfits consists of a black sweater that is cut at the neck exposing an under white layer, complimenting the black throughout the outfit, such as the black pants, sunglasses, beret, and leather chest bag. Manny wears a striped headscarf that adds a sense of stylish maturity to the beret along with sleek oval sunglasses. The fitting of all the pieces is very slim fit and the layering is flawless which adds to this classiness Manny presents. He finishes the fit with suede brown boots that serve a great contrast of colors and compliment the coziness of Manny.
Finally, John provides a warm and mellow outfit that compliments his surrounding serene and rural environment. John’s outfit consists of some notable pieces such as his white Bapestas and light brown Chanel bag, most would consider these pieces to be grails, but here John seems to just be wearing them as basic essentials due to their clean and simple silhouettes. He also wears a black Doncare hoodie with a unique modern graphic consisting of horses that match his setting and contrast the natural tone of the rest of the pieces he is wearing. John was clearly not in an environment where he felt the need to flaunt his outfit, instead this just seems like a humble comfortable fit that can be admired along with the beauty of the moment captured.
