Albuquerque native Lex, who goes by the alias Sasha Price, has made her way into our hearts, and now, our headlines, with her soft vocals and prominent versistility. From playful raps and ukulele love songs, to producing bedroom pop tunes, it is clear that Sasha possesses a talent that is constantly growing.
Typically, an artist’s latest release gives listeners an idea of who they are now and what is to be expected of them. That, however, is not always the case. Sasha’s most recent pop production “panamá” is far from what is to be expected. “The song I’m working on now is ukulele, it’s not like anything I’ve done before publicly,” she reveals. In terms of her sound, she says that it will evolve as she evolves.
Working on discovering more of her untapped talent, Sasha has been busy. She’s plans on finishing and releasing songs that consist of her rapping as well as one that is purely singing; she is also going to cover Billie Eilish. Although she has been working on quite a few things at once, Sasha doesn’t intend to release music that doesn’t meet her personal expectations:
“I just have been working on making things that I’m proud of because some of the music I have up I just don’t like that much.”
Sasha’s plans for the future are focused solely on her art and bettering herself, she tells us. “I am still in school and also pretty depressed but soon things will change. I just want to do art and figure something out. School is too much for me.” She has been dabbling different art styles as well, such as painting and digital art, even doing the covers for her newer songs.
As she continues to juggle school, work, and music, Sasha remains optimistic. As she continues to pursue her dream, we can expect to hear from her very soon and are excited to follow her on her journey of musical self-discovery. Check out Sasha Price on Soundcloud.
