Coldhart, Rawska, and YAWNS Release an Instant Classic with “Eyes”

After months of teasing, the wait is finally over. Coldhart has just released a video for the highly anticipated track “Eyes,” off of his upcoming tape Good Morning Cruel World. Featuring close collaborator Rawska, the track is entwined with masterfully beautiful production from YAWNS. Showcasing the friendship that they share, the trio takes viewers along for the ride and gives us a glimpse into their world.

Opening the video, the infamous and catchy chorus is sung as clips of Coldhart, Rawska, and YAWNS hanging out and riding around the city stimulate our senses. Coming in on guitar, YAWNS plays an almost calming tune before we are thrown back into action with Rawska’s verse. With all eyes on him, Rawska delivers his verse effortlessly as the lyrics flow from his mouth. Giving us almost no time to breathe, Coldhart comes in once more, this time, with a fast-paced verse that will certainly leave those who learn it out of breath.

The harmonization of Coldy and Rawska can be heard as they sing “Take me to the girl, to the girl I want, I can’t get there on my own.” Followed by a quick sigh of relief, the hook is concluded, only to be followed by the chorus. Shots of the two flashing their middle fingers and standing in the sunroof as they are driven around are shown before a dramatic shift of focus allures viewers. Honing in on YAWNS’s truly incredible guitar skills, clips of him playing in the street and on a flight of stairs can be seen while Coldy dances around in his seat and shows off his air-guitar artistry.

As the chorus is ran through one last time, YAWNS delivers an invigorating guitar solo that is so euphonious, you almost don’t want it to end. In the final moments of the video, up close snippets of Coldhart’s Lil Peep jacket are displayed while the song concludes. As he and Rawska retreat from the sunroof, all that can be heard is the wind and the sound of talking before the video reaches its complete end.

The release of the song and video is everything we could have hoped for and more. The chemistry displayed among these talented individuals is inviting and makes you feel as though you are right there with them. Being the first single off of Coldhart’s album, “Eyes” is only a taste of what we can expect from him.
