A result of the collaborative efforts from Underground Underdogs and Blackhouse Records Ltd., “SOUND BITES” is a limited edition physical CD-release, with all proceeds being donated to the RAINN Organization, a non-profit which carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
Earlier in 2018, Underground Underdogs reached out to Blackhouse Records founder Scott Rozell with a vision of creating a mixtape featuring some of the most vital and prolific artists within underground independent music. After much discussion, we decided on RAINN as a fantastic group well deserving of the funds due to their cause and track record of previous work. We wanted to raise awareness about sexual assault, a topic in the music industry that is largely ignored.
Limited to only 250 copies available, this CD compilation features 26 previously unreleased songs from some vital and prolific underground artists including Smrtdeath, FantasyCamp, Slug Christ, Guccihighwaters, Fifty Grand, King Yosef, AJ Suede, Crimewave and many more.
