Lil Lotus & Coldhart prosper together on new song “Barely Breathing”

Amongst the many emo cloud classed artists today, Lil Lotus and Coldhart have continuously proven over the past two years that they are the quintessential duo. While both have only released a small number of joint tracks together, they have seemingly prospered into an underground cult classic duo. With assistance from the ever so intricate and legendary producer Judge, the two have come together once again for “Barely Breathing” in unalloyed harmony.

Throughout the song Lil Lotus and Coldhart profess their love for someone who does not feel the need to reciprocate it back by any means necessary. Complimenting both singers, Judge completes the atmospheric mood of the track with an icy plucked guitar and fully swung 808s. Soon after the iconic “SO GOOD” tag by Judge drops in, Lotus begins to softly croon.

I’ll tend to this like the pills I’m eating // It’s not enough if you leave me bleeding // And it’s not love if I’m barely breathing // I’m barely breathing (I’m barely breathing)

Lotus pleads for his love to stay but ultimately understands that he will endure hurt in any type of relationship, whether it’s a perfect one or not. The agony in Lotus and his voice is impeccably flattered against the urgency of Coldharts verse.

And now I’m barely breathing // And every time I see you, you be screaming // Nowadays, I think you hate me // I’m hanging out the window ’til you save me

As it seems that Lotus is content with barely breathing and keeping his relationship alive on a thread, Coldhart is ready for his impending end altogether.

The trajectory for all three artists is stupendous leading into 2019. While Judge has produced for artists such as Bones and Young Thug in the past, he solely produced the entire Aaron Judge: Rookie of the Year collaborative mixtape with Lil Aaron this year among other projects. Lil Lotus meanwhile has announced his much anticipated sequel to his BODYBAG EP, and has continuously dropped songs gearing up for his new release. Lastly, Coldhart has continued his live performing streak while also teasing his own studio time by the Christmas tree.
