Rawska Brings “Love is Dead” To Life For His First Solo Visual Release

Since the release of his debut album Emergency, Rawska has been working hard to maintain a continual stream of content, thus inspiring the release of his first music video. With stunningly colorful visuals, the video for “Love is Dead” pairs beautifully with the heartbreak-inspired pop ballad.

Directed by Quinton Dominguez, the video takes an abstract approach to the concept of “Love is Dead.” Opening the video, ‘Rawska’ can be read in neon letters as a slowed portion of the song begins to play. Various CDs, all saying ‘LOVE IS DEAD’, introduce the track’s title; shots of sweetheart candies being poured all over the place are seen before the song cuts out for a brief second and picks up at its regular tempo. Standing in the middle of a plain backdrop is Rawska holding a knife and a balloon that reads ‘I Love You’ as heart shaped balloons fall all around him and he begins the track’s catchy hook:

“‘Love is dead,’ // That’s what you said to get in my head.”

Shots of Rawska in a strip club or singing solo with a mic stand are displayed sporadically throughout the video, while clips of him and two girls take a majority of the attention. At first glance, it appears as though they are toying with him as they whisper and strut around him. As the video continues, a storyline among the three develops; Rawska indulges one girl as the other watches from a distance, knife and heart balloon in hand ready to pop as a symbol of dying love.

The hook is repeated several times, and more shots of Rawska alone are shown before the song cuts out and ‘Directed By Quinton Dominquez’ rolls across the screen; however, the video is not over just yet. A slowed portion of the song plays once more and Rawska is lying in a pile of balloons; before the video reaches a complete end, a clip of one of the girls popping a heart balloon with a knife is shown.

With this being his first music video, Rawska has certainly set the bar high for himself. As he continues to work on releasing content, don’t waste any time. Watch “Love is Dead” on Astari below.
