In 2017, Gothboiclique vocalist Cold Hart dropped his Downer tape featuring prominent tracks like ‘Napalm,’ and ‘Don’t Rain in LA.’ Shortly after release, a visual for title track ‘Downer’ came, taking on colorful, vibrant imagery to accompany. His newest video, however, is for the fan favorite ‘Casper and Wendy.’
Shot and edited by close friend Nick Blanco alongside Strange Dharma, who put together the ‘Downer’ video, the visual opens up with smiles and positivity, with Cold Hart throwing up a peace sign at what appears to be the races. Switching over to numerous different settings from a sunny day beach, to sparkling night lights, the video leaves you looking back to summertime, with shimmers of nostalgia running through the air.
This ray of elation fits perfectly for the music. The jingly, content sounding bell melody of the Hovenchy produced track glides into your headphones, leaving you on cloud nine. Cold Hart’s tranquilizing hook; “Cus I got you up on my mind” takes the heartbreak and shows that- hey, things aren’t so bad after all.
