Keep up to date with essential songs from underground artists by following our Unleashed playlist on Spotify:

convolk – “worried sick” (prod. tsurreal)

Following SWAN DIVE earlier this year, conolk has released his project WORRIED SICK, which has already gained hundreds of thousands of streams. Interestingly enough, the titular track starts with convolk… meowing… but then smoothly sliding over tsurreal’s bass drums, instilling his message that “Life goes fast, don’t miss that shit.” — Jack Angell

bladee + ECCO2K – Vanilla Sky (prod. Nikita)

Bright arpeggiators, euphoric synths, and autotuned vocals are a staple for Swedish artists Bladee and Ecco2k. Being briefly teased on their respective instagrams the pair finally delivers their newest collaboration, “Vanilla Sky.” — John Ong

BABii – “SEiiZURE”

With BABii’s electro-pop production undercut by pensive vocals, “SEiiZURE” creates a dreamy soundscape. The single debuts from her recent LP HiiDE which expresses her experience of detrimental relationships, and these tenser themes seep into this track. — Rani Boyer

David Shawty – “Horror Store” (prod. hoodwtch)

Menacing melodies, abrupt beat switches, and unpredictable adlibs are commonplace for Seattle native David Shawty. On his hoodwtch produced single “Horror Store”, David dishes out chaotic raps with his signature “gravecore” lyrics. — John Ong

Tommy Ice & Lil Wintr – “HMU” (Prod. PrettyBoyRon)

Produced by Pretty Boy Ron, “Hmu” has Tommy Ice and Lil Wintr splitting the song, using the chorus and verse to pass the mic back and forth. Taking full advantage of the shimmering guitar playing, they trade bars on their elevated lifestyle since beginning their endeavors in the music industry. — Gerard Mullin

Vision4k – “Skin”

Taking a different path from his past songs, Vision ditches the traditional trap drums and instead opts for a more live sounding instrumental. As a follow up to his previous project “Recluse”, “Skin” is a display of his continuous artistic evolution. — John Ong

Fifty Grand – “Summer Rain” (feat. Kankan & Mixed Matches)

Fifty Grand has been persistently releasing singles all throughout 2019, with “Summer Rain” being his most recent. Featuring vocals from Kankan and Mixed Matches, the trio of vocalist contrast against one another for an enchanting track. — Jack Angell

Baby Smoove – “The One” (Prod Helluva)

Normally detached in his tracks, Baby Smoove reveals his emotional side with “The One.” The Detroit native rolls over the groovy production, professing his love for the one he may spend the rest of his days with. — Gerard Mullin

KARI – break (prod. myfriendnate)

“Break” by KARI illustrates his signature explosive delivery over punching production. The second half of the track has the beat stripped down, held together by drums, with Kari nearly acapella until the hook comes in again. — Gerard Mullin

BLVC SVND – “BIG GRAIN IS COMIN”

Classic phonk influenced instrumental is the perfect scene for Blvc Svnd to let loose. Off his most recent album The Phoenix, his verse sections sprint from chorus to chorus, where the energy climaxes to primal screams. — Derek Bendixen
