BigKlit shot by Ava Trilling

Keep up to date with essential songs from underground artists by following our Unleashed playlist on Spotify:

BigKlit – Liar (prod. FULL TAC)

On “Liar,” BigKlit’s venomous vocal delivery and punishing beat selection makes one thing very apparent — she has a strong hatred for those who fail to tell the truth. The single is seeing viral TikTok success with the NYC-based rapper snarling lyrics like, “I hate a lying ass trick, always lying on his dick, you a pussy!” — Jack Angell

Nick Prosper – “CLICK CLACK”

Unapologetic force Nick Prosper goes unleased with “CLICK CLACK.” With hardcore vocals applied to ferocious flows, the track is a face-blasting trip fit for fast nights. — Jenna DePasquale

BBY GOYARD – “95IRONMAN” (Prod. Fatherblaze)

Off of BBY GOYARD’s recent Loose Lips & Sharp Tongues EP, “95IRONMAN” combines elements of dark European techno with contemporary SoundCloud rap to produce a creative, deconstructed club track. — Adam Pease

Wavy Jone$ – “Where U Going”

Returning from the shadows, Wavy Jone$ marks his comeback with the release of his latest unmissable EP, Guilty. “Where U Going?” opens up the project, sampling a clip from American Gangster before transgressing into a hard-hitting anthem as Jone$ reflects on giving up past vices whilst exploring more introspective and religious concepts. — Rani Boyer

Drippin So Pretty – “Bullseye” (prod. thislandis)

While continuing to tease his forthcoming album Die For You, Drippin So Pretty shares his forlorn single “Bullseye.” The lyrics are seemingly admissions of regret as Drip confesses his emotional unavailability over low-spirited, guitar-based production. — Jack Angell

Thaiboy Digital – “Lip Service” ft. ECCO2K (prod. Gud)

After not releasing any music in years (save for two guest features), Thaiboy Digital has finally debuted the lead single off of his highly anticipated album Legendary Member. Produced by Gud, “Lip Service” has a brighter, bouncier sound than the majority of Thaiboy’s discography, and features an airy chorus from fellow Drain Gang member ECCO2K. —  Jack Angell

shinigami – “insomnia”

On “insomnia,” shinigami delivers a powerful piano ballad as he struggles with the notorious sleep disorder. Yet what starts off as a soft lullaby eventually progresses into a trance track, with synthesizers providing the background for shini to grapple with sleeplessness. — Jack Angell

SypSki – “Alive” (prod Based1)

Los Angeles’ SypSki has a knack for ear-catching melodies and soul-touching lyricism, and on “Alive” he meets these expectations. On top of the enchanting synth-based production of Based1, SypSki spills his heart in auto tune as he tells a story of love and deception. — John Ong

lilspirit – fall in love with me (prod. mind)

lilspirit combines his innocent sounding hush-toned melodies with halfhearted lyrics of love and drug use. A slowly looping beat with 8-bit inspired synth chords is an apt canvas for the young vocalist. — Derek Bendixen

Father – “A lot on ur plate”

Father floats across this new meltycanon-produced track with an understated swagger, explaining all the ways he’d like to treat his special someone in his signature loose and nonchalant flow. With lines like, “A lot on your plate but I still wanna take you to dinner and put dick in your tummy,” it’s maybe too gauche to be considered serenade, but there still is something sweet about the bluntness of his gestures. —  Sam Weinberg
