This week’s Mutt Mix comes courtesy of the prolific New Orleans-hailing producer/DJ Lukrative. A member of the NeilaWorld collective, Lukrative boasts an impressive array of credits, having produced for artists like Duwap Kaine, Adamn Killa, Landon Cube, and Lil Xelly, among many others. He also produced a number of tracks on Lil Tracy’s forthcoming Anarchy EP.
“Basically I just picked a bunch of songs that I fuck with from my playlist. I tried to transition songs that sound good next to each other and have similar vibes, but I also wanted to have an interesting variety. I revised it a couple times before I was satisfied, also a good bit of the mixing was done live off my Traktor controller. I would record a couple songs and then dump them onto FL Studio and do some more chops and shit.”
