Tuxx Soars On His Ardent New Single “Circles”

The Arizona artist continues to build his catalog of hits with a new OVRCZ and mjNichols-produced anthem

When it comes to exploring new avenues of sound, 19-year-old Tuxx takes his ventures with enthusiasm. His range is vast, switching between self-produced indie-alternative ballads like “Bored Without You” to upbeat harmonies on “Love Is Dead” with ease. In just under a week his most recent single, “Get High,” has reached over 100,000 plays. To celebrate, the Tempe native has decided to follow up with another hit of matching caliber: “Circles.”

The track presents a listen that is both short and sweet, but more importantly, remarkably addictive. With charming guitar riffs and jovial percussion courtesy of Internet Money producers OVRCZ and mjNichols, the stage is set for Tuxx’s signature catchiness. The hook alone is crafted for singalong: “Baby I know (oh oh), where you wanna go? / We can waste our time.” His wordplay throughout is based in romanticism, providing a picturesque soundtrack for one’s summer love.

As background croons swirl around the chorus in an echo, he quickly decrescendos into solo chorals for the verse: “You don’t wanna pick up the phone when I call / You don’t wanna talk about things when you’re wrong.” And in his typical fashion, he shows off a boundless range of vocals, smoothly shifting from reverberation to a bout of singled-out highs. All in all, the succinctness of this song is what makes it overwhelmingly unique.

With a flurry of emotion superbly packed into a bite-sized listen, the replay value is unquestionable. As Tuxx moves forward in his musical experimentation, it is evident that the sound of his next song is excitingly unpredictable. Pair that with his recent affiliation with Internet Money, and the story here becomes clear: an artist on the path to stardom.
