Marcos Alvarado is an unmatched and versatile artist from Texas that all should be familiar with. Marcos is known for his complex illustrations shared on the internet that evokes strong emotions with striking and surreal imagery that a large audience has grown a love and tight connection with. He has worked with some notable artists on stunning creations, such as the cover art for Thouxanbanfauni’s third official solo tape Heavy Weight Champ, and also creates unique pieces featuring other musicians bringing their music to life.
In 2016 Marcos released his first collection for MBM Clothing which marked a new beginning for the young artist. His distinct illustrations drastically transformed into stunning pieces that continue to push a larger crowd to wear their hearts and minds on their sleeve. His first designs in 2016 were very clean and carried a similar style of his dark yet touching illustrations but were limited to one color screen prints, which is very usual for a clothing brand starting up. Then instantly from 2017 to 2018, we saw a dramatic shift of varied pieces, from different styled tops such as jersey tees to sometimes even graphic button downs with a matching set of pants. Marcos also featured hand-painted air forces that are impeccable gems, displaying his signature illustrated style of religious figures in a 2018 collection he titled Me vs Me. The evolution of MBM Clothing proves that Marcos never limits himself and works as a true artist experimenting finding new ways to create jaw dropping pieces that most new brands wouldn’t successfully execute as he does.
