Constantly releasing powerful, emotionally loaded tracks, Pennsylvanian artists fantasy camp and Lil Zubin are garnering a well deserved following. Originally connecting after fantasy camp produced “where u at girl” for Zubin, Zubin quickly hopped on a track for fantasy camp’s album that is set to release shortly. According to Zubin, “the track we did together for his album sounded great” and both he fantasy camp concluded the two needed to make more songs together. fantasy camp stated that the two “just started sending verses back and forth,” and Another Heart 2 Break was born.
The collaborative five track EP is centered around somber production from nedarb and foxwedding, as well as production by fantasy camp and Lil Zubin themselves. Cold Hart, who both fantasy camp and Zubin have made tracks with previously, is also featured on the tape’s final track “Backseat.” As the songs blend beautifully into one another from start to finish, one can audibly hear the emotional tremors in the artist’s voices as they reflect on lost loves and vanishing memories.
When asked about the inspiration behind the tape, fantasy camp said that he is “not sure about an overall theme other than heartbreak, fading love, and emotional stress. The project is named after the interlude, which is the centerpiece of the project and overall mood of it.” It is in “Interlude” where Zubin pleadingly asks “Don’t you have another heart to break?”
Both fantasy camp and Lil Zubin agree that Another Heart 2 Break is “a sincere reflection of ourselves. We worked hard on it and we hope people love it as much as we do.” Take a listen to the tape in full down below.
